Need Help

Hi everyone

Im trying to produce a report and for some reason the total amount that i have created wont work on footer page. I also made an experiment... and i moved that total amount on the Header area and it works!... do you know why it produces an error on the footer area?

thanks

Jonathan

RE: Need Help

Hi Jonathan,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

First of all, are you sure it's a Report Footer and not a Page Footer? Page Header/Footers do not really work within sub reports, but Report Header/Footers should.

So check that first.

The other thing could be that you mistyped the function (eg. SUM) or used the incorrect syntax. eg. try adding the exact same thing (copy/paste) from the header that works to your footer, and run report with both.

There are also Page Margins and Footers to consider.

Let me know how you go.

Regards, Rich

Access tip:

Hide Access Tables

One method of stopping your Access tables appearing in Database window, is to rename the table(s) with the prefix usys.

This converts the table into a system object, which cannot be viewed in the Database window.

You can show system objects in the Database window by the following:

Step 1: On the Tools menu, click Options.
Step 2: Click the View tab.
Under Show, select the System Objects check box.
Click OK.
