Excel Formula

Hi I am trying to create an excel formula, to count the below requirements:

It is to try and run some analysis on a risk register:

If specific text is entered in column J (Team Name), i then want to count the number of cells in column G that are also text (either, High, Medium, Low)

i would then want the answer displayed as a number, i would then use the formuls to work out other selections so i could graph it.

a further issue is this table is amended weekly so the formula would need to be based on columns so the table would amend dynamically.

be great if someone can help, and i am sure its not as compicated as i am making it sound.

RE: Excel Formula

Hello Matthew,

Thank you for your question regarding Excel formulas.

Is it possible to send me a sample file showing the data which you wish to add formulas to that count text items in one column depending on specific values found in another column.

My email address is: rl@stl-training.co.uk

I look forward to your reply.

Have a great day.

Excel tip:

Wrapping Text in a Cell in an Excel 2010 Workbook

When you have a lot of text you want to put in a particular cell but you can't decrease the font size to fit because the text will then become ineligible, then manually wrap the text in a cell by simply pressing ALT+ENTER.
