Is there an easier way to change the task durations in my current plan from weeks/months to days without changing it individually?

RE: MS Project

Hi Joyce

Thanks for your question. Yes there is, it will save you a lot of time.

There is a macro that ships with Project designed to change all durations to the unit you prefer.

If you go to Tools > Macro > Macros highlight the Format_Duration macro and click run. It will ask you what duration you want to use and re-format all the task durations to the unit you selected.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:

Autofit column width – Project (all versions)

At the top of the columns where each column name is located (Task Name, Duration, etc.), hover over the vertical column line which you want to move.

A short bold vertical line will appear, with horizontal arrows pointing left and right.

Left click and hold this icon and it will permit you to grab the column line, allowing you to move it left or right to your desired location.
