Microsoft project - involuntarily hidden tasks

I am in the middle of amending a project plan that I have created.

I pressed a button to delete one task and as well as deleting the task the computer has hidden a number of the subsequent tasks. (The task numbers jump from 12 to 34).

I have tried to highlight these bars and click unhide but nothing happens.

How can I retrieve these tasks that are within my plan?

RE: Microsoft project - involuntarily hidden tasks

Hi Bella

Thank you for your question. It sounds like a filter has been applied. To remove all filters press the F3 button or from the Project menu choose Filtered for > All tasks

Does this reveal the missing tasks?

Kind regards,
Andrew

RE: Microsoft project - involuntarily hidden tasks

Hi Andrew

Thanks very much - this has revealed the tasks

Cheers
Bella

MS Project tip:

Set default task type - Project 2010

a. In Project, click on the File tab
b. Select Options from left hand side
c. Click on Schedule to set the scheduling options
d. Set the Default Task type box to your chosen option
i. Generally if you plan/estimate your projects using durations you should use fixed duration, and untick the box New tasks are effort driven, if you plan/estimate with person hours use fixed work, or for plans estimated with the proportion of resources time use fixed units, and untick the box New tasks are effort driven)
e. Click OK to apply your changes
