'&' vs. '+' when you are concatenating

'&' vs. '+' when you are concatenating

When doing my training i used the '&' symbol to concatenate and it seems to work although the notes say to use '+'. I'm so used to using excel I'm sure I will lapse into using '&' and I want to know if this will cause any problems.

RE: '&' vs. '+' when you are concatenating

Dear Mark

Thank you for attending Access Intermediate course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

Please refer to the following link that explains the difference between the two:

http://www.blurtit.com/q641973.html

If you are using this generally in Access then it should not be much of a problem as they can be used Interchangeably
Please note that it is more specific to Visual Basic so if you plan to do VVBA in Access then it may cause some problems as it mentions in the article!

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards
