Access Reports

I am just building a basic employee addresses report in access but was wondering if there is a way to get the report to automatically fit each field on the page without shrinking it manually? Currently it goes off the page and I can't seem to get it to fit.
Thanks

RE: Access Reports

Dear Rebecca

Thank you for attending Access Introduction course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

One of the possible solutions could be to create multiple column report and that should be able to resolve the problem.

It is quite straight forward.

You simply create a Report via Report Wizard

Choose File > Page Set UP

Click on the Columns Tab and choose 2 or 3 in the No. of Column section.

Change the Height and width of the columns.

Please refer to the following link to create a multi column reports step by step:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/access/HA011565341033.aspx

You will notice that towards the end of the article in the section called Download the sample database you can download the sample file that allows you to see how multi column reports look like!

I am trying to upload the same database file but am not sure if I will be able to successfully upload it. If I can't then the best thing is to download it yourself from the website.

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

Access tip:

Display current date & time in column of any width

The worksheet function =NOW() returns the current date & time. When entered into a column which is not wide enough to display the value NOW returns, the cell displays ###
