Power Point Introduction

When and Why have I use Smart tag?

RE: Power Point Introduction

Hello Stefania

Thank you for your question.

Smart Tags will appear when you have performed certain operation in Microsoft applications (e.g. after you paste something).

The reason a Smart Tag appears is that it is providing you options for what you might like to do next once you have performed the associated operation, e.g. after you paste something, the Smart Tag gives you options on how you might like the pasted text or data to be formatted.

You do not have to select any of the options, only if you would like to use one.

Kind regards
Amanda

PowerPoint tip:

Convert a 2003 presentation to 2010

If you have a presentation in 2003 you can work on it with the 2010 enhancements by using the compatibility mode.

Open the 2003 file in Powerpoint, and it will open it compatibility mode.

Click on the File tab then select Info, and Convert. Then save the file using "Save as", type in your new file name, and then click Save.

Your 2003 presentation will now be in 2010 and you'll be able to use all the enhancements available.
