What are the limitations of the undo button and redo buttons?

RE: Access

Hi Ken

In Access the Undo and Redo buttons have a limit to their use especially when deleting data from tables.

Once a record is deleted from an Access table it cannot be recovered by clicking the Undo button. It will need to be reentered from scratch.

This also applies to editing queries where if you remove a field from a query you need to physically replace it.

However in designing Forms and Reports if you delete controls by mistake you can reverse the situation with the Undo button.

Hope this helps

Carlos

Combo box for finding records

You can use a combo box in a form to look up a record. If you place the comb box in the Form header, by then selcting they a field type from the drop down loist, you will see the record for it
