Internet access+Dreamweaver

Hello,

If you do not have an internet connection, is it possible to create your website offline, and then 'upload' or launch it once you have connected to the internet? Or do you have to do all work while you are online? Kind regards, Emily

RE: Internet access+Dreamweaver

Hello Emily,

Hope you enjoyed your DreamWeaver course with BEST Training.
Thank you for your question regarding internet access.

You do not need to have internet access to design your website. You can do it all on your machine and then upload it to the internet server once you have connection.

Even once you have uploaded it, you can still make changes to your offiline copy, and then upload the changed files once you have connection again.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another DreamWeaver question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Richard

Dreamweaver tip:

JumpMenu in new window

When inserting a jumpmenu to a page, the only option available for 'open in' is usually 'main window'. There would be other options available if the page was a frameset.

To change the jumpmenu to open in a new window, change the target parameter of the selectbox in your code to 'window.open()'.

eg.

<select name="menu1" onChange="MM_jumpMenu('window.open()',this,0)">
