Creating forms

When creating a form through the wizard, the fields choosen do not automatically resize to the maximum character size and hence need to go into design view and click/drag to expand the size of the display box.

RE: Creating forms

Hello Parag,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Access courses with BEST Training.
Thank you for your question regarding form design.

You are right, the wizard does not always size the fields to the correct size. I recommend using the COLUMNAR design on the wizard, as this does a better job of placing the fields as they are sized.

A tip regarding resizing multiple fields - drag a selection box around all the fields that you want to resize or move.
Use the keyboard arrows to shift and move the fields. Hold the CTRL key and use arrows for smaller shifts.

Hold SHIFT and use arrows to RESIZE fields.

Right click and use the ALIGN Option to align the fields.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

For example, P001, where P is the prefixed letter

Instructions
Step 1. Create Field Name
Step 2. Set Data Type to Autonumber
Step 3. Within Field Property General tabsheet,
enter Format property as [backslash]P000
