Excell

Would like to live link to excell to produce cumulative cash flowe forecasts

RE: Excell

Hi Robert

Thank you for your question

You can live link data from Project to Excel using copy and paste special. Simply:-

1.Select the data that you want to copy, in this case cost information for your various tasks.
2. Copy the data
3. Open your workbook, and click on Edit-Paste Special
4. Select "Paste Link" and then click OK

This will create a live link to the spreadsheet and when the cost data in project changes, so the worksheet will automatically update. You can then use this data as the basis for your cumulative cash flow

Hope this is useful. if you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me

Regards

Stephen

MS Project tip:

Inserting Task Durations Quickly

When entering durations for your tasks simply use the single letters - m for min, h for hr, d for day, w for week, but mon for month. If default is set for days, you need only type the number, for example 3 for 3days, or 0.5 for half a day.
