Is Access compatible with Excel?

RE: Access compatibility with Excel

Hi Rachel

Thanks for posting to our forum.

Microsoft products are designed to be compatible with each other and Excel and Access are no exception. You are able to import and export objects between these two programs easily.

For example you can send an Access object to Excel by going to the OfficeLinks button on the standard toolbar in Access and choosing the Analyse it with Excel option from the dropdown menu.

Enjoy your training
Amanda

Access tip:

Dsum

You can create percentage values based on individual products / items by using a Dsum function (used with a grouped query)

[Each value column] / Dsum[field:total for the column needed to be calculated],[tablename]
