Project export

Can you create a dynamic link between project and outlook tasks?

RE: Project export

Hi Thomas

this isn't supported by Project or Outlook. Whilst it is possible to export or import data this is not a dynamic connection. The closest option would be to connect to Project server (which is additional hardware and software). Outlook can be configured to import your project tasks from the server version of your project. You may find third party manufacturers have developed a solution for dynamic connections or synchronisation.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Andrew

MS Project tip:

Compare Work and Duration

Duration is the timescale within which a task is done; Work is the specific time element used. For example, 3 days work in a duration of 2 weeks. To compare, add the Work field into the Entry table by right clicking a column heading to Add Field.
