Thank you for your question.

If you are paying for a subcontractor's services at a series of points in the contract and you wish to reflect this, then you could mark those points as milestones in the project and attach fixed costs to those milestones. These costs would then be incurred as you hit them.
Note that in this instance the vendor's resources would have to have zero costs associated with them, otherwise they wiould be double charged.
