Can I use the Average function in a 3d formula? I get error messages.
RE: Excel
Hi Cindy
Thank you for your question.
You should be able to use the average function in a 3D formula. Using the example we covered today (in the Yearly Sales sheet):
1. Select cell B5 on Creating 3D formulas sheet.
2. Enter the Average function into the cell .
3. Make sure the formula says =average() with your cursor sitting between the brackets.
4. Click on the North sheet, hold down Shift, and keep holding Shift while you click on the West sheet.
5. Let go of the Shift key and click on cell B5 on the North sheet.
6. Press Enter to complete the formula.
I hope this helps.
Amanda
