How do you link workbooks?

Dear Mary

Thank you for attending our Intermediate Excel training.
Linking workbooks is very simple. All you have to do is to ensure that both the files which will be linked (source File) and the file you want it to be linked to (Destination File) are open.
You simply click on the cell where you want to establish the link.
Press Equal(=) on eth keyboard
And then on the task bar which appears at the bottom of your screen click on the Workbook (file) , then the work Sheet and then the cell that you want to link. If you observe the Formula bar you

Excel tip:

Sorting data stored in rows

Primarily Excel is set up to sort data that is stored in columns rather than rows.

It is possible to get Excel to sort data stored in rows however.

Click in the row you want to sort, or select the cells in the rows you wish to sort.

Go to Data - Sort, then go to the Options button in the bottom left corner of the Sort dialogue box.
