Visio, Ms Projects

Dear Trainer,

We are attempting to convert a Master timeline Ms Project version 2003 file containing 6 independant timelines. The links between the Master file and the individual timelines are still active.

We are attempting to convert the 6 timelines in the Master Timeline into a single Visio file (1 Page) containing 6 linear timelines each containing corresponding key milestones from the individual timelines within the Master.

Firstly - would this be possible at all? If yes, could it be done automatically?

Our team needs to decide on the way forward by tomorrow morning. Any efforts to have 'YES possible / NOT possible' answer by then, would be highly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Isabel Saez-Pujol

RE: Visio, Ms Projects

Hi Isabel

I know that this is possible using verion 2007. I do not however think that it possible to do this in version 2003. If you do manage to do this please post back and let me know.

Sorry I could not be of more help

David

Visio tip:

Using the Quick Access Toolbar in Visio 2010

The Quick Access Toolbar is included in virtually every Office product, including Visio 2010 as well as Outlook 2010, Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010.

You will find the Quick Access Toolbar in the top-left side of the window. To begin, click the Customize button (it's the little black arrow at the end of the toolbar).

Simply click the commands you want to include.

Virtually any command can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Click the More Commands option and a new window will open from where you can browse the commands including those not on the ribbon.
