RESTRAINTS

Can I delete a restraint straight from the task bar?

RE: RESTRAINTS

Hi Joe

It looks like you may be enquiring about Constraints that have been added to a task. All tasks have a constraint the default being "As soon as possible". If your task has some other kind of constraint set then switching back to this default setting will have the effect of releasing the task from date constraints. To do this double click on the task and go to the advanced tab. From here set the constraint type to "As soon as possible". Don't worry about clearing the date box to the right - when you click on OK Project will remove any constraint date set.

I hope this is helpful - do let us know if you require further information.

Kind regards,

Andrew

MS Project tip:

Email a Task

When you need to communicate important information to your project staff use Microsoft Project 2003 to send them a note using outlook or an e-mail system.

1.In a task sheet, select the task or tasks which you want to send a project note.

2.On the File menu, point to Send To, and then select Mail Recipient (as Schedule Note).

3.Under Address message to, select the recipients of your note.
