Please can you remind me how to link certain cells in certain workbooks in order to get the result in a third workbook?

FORMULA BASED
1. Make the cell you want the result to appear in active.
2. Enter "=" to start the formula
3. Click the worksheet you want, then select the cell/s you require.
4. Add any operators (,+-*/ that you may require for the formula.
5. Commit the formula by hitting ENTER.
SINGLE CELL
1. Make the cell you want the result to appear in active.
2. Enter "=" to start the formula

Excel tip:Turn Function tooltips on and offExcel 2002 (XP) and Excel 2003 have the Function tooltips facility. When you type in a function name followed by a bracket, for example, =IF(, a yellow box appears beside the function name and lists the function's arguments. This is very useful when you can't quite remember the order of a function's arguments or what the arguments actually are! |
