I m having trouble copying and pasting formulas from one cell to another in the same spreadsheet, the cell recognises the correct formula with the correct input cells, but returns the original value, not the formula value. this seems to happening to all my excel worksheets - pls help!

RE: EXCEL

Hi Rita

Thanks for your question - this is an interesting one!

Can you check to see if your formulas are set to calculate manually? Go to Tools - Options - Calculation and see if Calculation has been sent to Manual. If this is the case, you can change it back to manual, in which case formulas should recalculate their results automatically again.

If this is not the problem, let me know.

Amanda

Excel tip:

Brighten up your Excel 2010 Spreadsheet by changing the colours of the gridlines

Excel 2010 allows you to change the colour of grid lines instead of keeping them in boring black.

Select the File tab on the Ribbon, click Options, click Advanced, scroll down to ''Display options for this worksheet.'' Next to ''Gridline colour,'' choose your favourite colour, then once you've done this, click OK. Easy!
