Chart omitted on Slicer Connection Listing

I am working on a pre created data model, where there are a series of charts but one will not respond to change on date-month slicer settings.
When I click on slicer connections, the chart I wish to connect is not listed. I deleted the chart and recreated it, and it's still not listed on connections; hence I can't check to connect.

How do I connect a chart to the slicer, when the chart is not listed on slicer connections?

RE: Chart omitted on Slicer Connection Listing

Hi Lloyd,

Thank you for the forum question.

I guess you mean that you cannot see the PivotTable you have created the charts from listed on connections.

I have not been in a situation where the PivotTables are not listed on connections.

Have you tried to refresh the whole data model?

RE: Chart omitted on Slicer Connection Listing

Hi Jens,

I have discovered that the pivot chart responded to a splicer on another page!!

I am not even going to try and understand this; it was not my data model, and I see no reason why I would want to connect a chart to a splicer on another sheet.

Kind regards.

Lloyd.

RE: Chart omitted on Slicer Connection Listing

Hi Lloyd,

Yes normally you would like to have the chart on the same sheet as the slicer. The slicer must control the PivotTable from which the chart is created.

Good luck with your data models.
