Microsoft project 2013 - copy hyperlink

How do you copy a hyperlink in the gantt chart once inserted already. I clicked on the hyperlink and copy hyperlink, but how do you paste into another cell?

RE: Microsoft project 2013 - copy hyperlink

Hi Rachel

thank you for your question here is an alternative method that does work. First insert the hyperlink column (right click on a column label and choose Insert Column) and add in the hyperlink column. You can right click on the Hyperlink cell containing the link and copy - then paste into the hyperlink cell of another task.

You can also use the Hyperlink table by going to the View tab then choosing Tables and selecting Hyperlink. When you have finished editing switch back to the Entry table from the same menu.

I hope this helps - let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:

Formatting Bar Text

To display notes or resource initials on the Gantt chart bars, choose Format, Bar Styles and the Text tab. Select the position you want to show the text i.e. Top or Inside etc, then choose the field name you are looking for from the drop down arrow. Type the first letter of the name to get quickly to the top of the letter range. Click OK.
