Pivot charts

Following attending the advanced course and looking at pivot charts, there doesn't appear to be a way to place the chart into another document i.e. Word - is there? We worked out we could use OneNote and then insert as a picture, but this seems a longer way of doing it than what should be required.
Any ideas would be welcome - thank you!

RE: Pivot charts

Hello Nicola,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Access Advanced course with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding exporting PivotCharts to another Microsoft Office application.

This issue has always plagued users of Access. The route you have taken does work and of course you can always perform a 'Print Screen' action and then crop the area you don't need.

The lack of a simple way to do this in Access suggests to me that it may be possible to perform this action by creating some VBA code which can then be attached to a button on your quick access toolbar.

For now you will have to accept the ways outlined above and if I come across a solution at a later stage I will add to this post. Until then...

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.

Access tip:

Deleting duplicate records from a table

You cannot delete records tables where there duplicate records. A way around this is to create a new table which wont hold the duplicates. and then deleting the old table.

1. Use a make-table query based on this table only. IMPORTANT - Ensure that you include all of the fields from your original table or you may loose data.

2. Open the query's property sheet by using VIEW, QUERY, PROPERTIES, and set the Unique Values property to Yes

3. Because you have selected the Unique Values to Yes when you run the query, Access creates a new table without duplicate records. You can now delete the old table and rename the new one.
