Progress Lines

What are the steps to view progress files?

RE: Progress Lines

Hi Melanie

Thanks for your question.

To add progress lines go to the Tools menu, choose Tracking then Add progress lines.

From the dialogue box that appears you can choose to always display current progress line at the current date (which creates a line that moves through your project, showing today's date) or you could choose to display your progress line at the status date of your project.

Alternatively if you turn on your tracking tool bar (Tools > Customise then make sure the Tracking toolbar has a tick beside it) you can click on the add progress line button. Then click at the point on your Gantt chart where you would like to assess progress. A line will be drawn at that point.

I hope this is helpful and answers your question. Let us know if you have further questions.

Andrew

MS Project tip:

Email a Task

When you need to communicate important information to your project staff use Microsoft Project 2003 to send them a note using outlook or an e-mail system.

1.In a task sheet, select the task or tasks which you want to send a project note.

2.On the File menu, point to Send To, and then select Mail Recipient (as Schedule Note).

3.Under Address message to, select the recipients of your note.
