Is there any way to export reports in a more attractive format?

RE: Reports

Hello Simon,

Hope you enjoyed your Microsoft Project Intermediate course with Best STL.

Thank you for your question regarding exporting reports. There are two types of reports available in Project:

Reports and Visual Reports

Reports cannot be exported only printed. If you have a pdf printer you can print to this and create a pdf file which can be edited if you have pdf editing software on your computer. This of course involves a lot of extra work.

Visual reports are produced in either Excel or Visio and can be edited to make them as attractive as you want.

One other thing you may want to do is change your view to Task Sheet then add/remove columns and apply any filters to produce the exact information you require. Then you can export this data to Excel where you can format to your heart's content.

To find out more on exporting data to Excel join us on an Advanced Project course.

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another Microsoft Office question?

Have a great day.

Ever feel lost on a large project file? In Gantt view, Task ribbon, Editing, click on the Scroll to Task tool to centre the task bar on your screen.

Shortcut Ctrl+Shift+F5

Same as Go to Selected Task in MS Project 2003.
