Clipart

When I attempt to paste a picture into a document I only have the bottom third of the picture appearing. The top is invisible. I have tried to drag the picture down to show the whole picture but only a mimimal amount of the picture is still showing regardless of how I drag the picture. I have also tried this on a completely blank page and still only see a small amount of the picture.

RE: Clipart

Hi Maria, thanks for your query. I remember this problem from when we talked and Sharon and Cheryl and I found a solution on the second training day. When you paste the picture in it is obeying the formatting rules of your template, which is set to Line Spacing, "Exactly"...and I can quite remember what the rest is. Try selecting the picture bar you can see, and then Format, Paragraph and set the Line Spacing to Single. That should solve the problem. Ask your other two colleagues about this if it doesn't make sense, we were quite relieved to have discovered the (irritating) reason it does this.

Solving it permanently means a change to your company template I'm afraid!

Hope this helps,

Anthony

Word tip:

Shortcut keys to show non-printing characters

The Show/Hide button can be used in Word to show non-printing characters in your document.

The shortcut keys for revealing non-printing characters are Ctrl + Shift + the 8/* button above the alpha keys on the keyboard.

Holding down the same combination of keys hides non-printing characters again.
