Linking sucessors to split tasks

What successor format must you use to get a successor to happen every time a part of a split task is performed?

RE: linking sucessors to split tasks

Hi Sabine

Thank you for your question. Project will only let you connect to the start or finish of the whole task, not to the start or finish within a task that has been created as a result of a split.

You can get close to the effect you are looking for by first creating a summary task and then making several sub tasks below it (rather than splitting one larger task down).

I hope this helps - do let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:

Compare Work and Duration

Duration is the timescale within which a task is done; Work is the specific time element used. For example, 3 days work in a duration of 2 weeks. To compare, add the Work field into the Entry table by right clicking a column heading to Add Field.
