Counting Records in SubReports

Hi

I would like to know if there is a way to sum the record counter for all subreports into a main report,

I have used count(*) in 18 sub reports linked to my main report and would like to be able to add these all together to get a total in the header of my main report,

RE: Counting Records in SubReports

Hi Ajay

Thanks for your post. From what you have outlined any solution we can provide does exceed the scope of this forum.

In these cases we can ask you to send us sample files and lists of waht you are trying to do, we can review and let you know the scope of work involved and any associated costs. We will not commence any work until you give instruction.

If you would like to look into this further then please reply direct to me.

Kind regards

Jacob

Access tip:

Run with the total

Often when creating reports with lists of transactions it can be useful to have a column which totals the transactions as the report progresses.

Using the Sum function gives the total for the whole group, not a running total.

Access provides an easy method of achieving a running total.

Click on the text box containing the data you wish to contain the running total.
Select the Data tab
Click in the Running sum option
Click the down arrow to view three options
