How to enter months depending on dates?

when we can only input 9 ifs in a function?

RE: how to enter months depending on dates?

Hi Joanna, there is a limit on the number of IF functions you can nest and there are various rather complicated ways round it. However, why not use data formatting to achiever what you want?

If column A has the dates, then make the formula in B1 "=A1" then autofill down. Then Format Column B to display the date just as a Month.

Hope this helps,

Anthony
