Pls could you tell me how to freeze panes?

RE: Panes

Hello Humphrey

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

Firstly you need to select a cell which represents the position in the spreadsheet that you want to have the freeze panes set at.

For example:
- If you want to see row 1 when you scroll down, select cell A2.

-If you want to see column A when you scroll across, select cell B1.

- If you want to see both row 1 and column A when you scroll, select cell B2 (the cell that is both below the row/s you wish to see when scrolling; and to the right of the column/s you wish to see when scrolling).

Then go to Window - Freeze Panes.

I hope this helps.

Kind regards
Amanda

Excel tip:

Adding multiple rows in an Excel 2010 Worksheet

If you want to add more than one row to an Excel Worksheet, drag select the number or rows you want added to the spreadsheet.

Then right click on these selected rows, choose Insert from the menu, and the new rows will be added above the rows you first selected.
