Menu Problems (rollover buttons)

Hello,

One of my menu buttons in the right hand column (a rollover button in a template that all my pages are built in) jumps about in some of the pages. It usally holds it's place but on some pages it drops to the bottom of the screen, dragging with it the background image that the buttons sit on top of.
This happens on two or three pages, and I'm at a loss to explain it.

Can you help me?

Thank you

Peter

RE: Menu Problems (rollover buttons)

Also, for some bizzare reason on one of my pages, the links that form part of the menu are double size. They're from the same template, so I can't think why this is happening.

Is there any way to investigate this?

Thanks again,

Pete

RE: Menu Problems (rollover buttons)

Ahh, i have resolved this latest problem.
I had tried altering the CSS properties before but it hadn't worked. It has now.

As for the larger font on the other page I'm still struggling.

Thanks

Pete

Hi Pete,

Sorry, I wasn't aware you were still having problems as this question was marked as 'resolved'. You can change the status of a question by using the appropriate links when you're logged in and looking at the question page.

How are you going with the 'larger font' problem? It sounds like it could also be CSS related.

If you're still struggling, and the site is still not live, feel free to e-mail all related files to forum AT stl-training.co.uk and I'll take a look. Please paste the URL of this forum post as a reference.

RE: Menu Problems (rollover buttons)

Pete,

That is strange.

Could you paste a URL of a working page, and the URL of the non-working page so I could get a greater understanding of what's happening?

Thanks, Rich.

RE: Menu Problems (rollover buttons)

Rich,

The site is not yet live. Could it be that these issues will be resolved on publishing?

Another page (terms and conditions) is playing up now, and this one really baffles me. The text of my menu headings ie. Shop by category has changed to a neon blue only on this one page. It even means that when using style 13 for items in the editable field of the Terms and Conditions page these are all turned neon blue.

I'm begining to think there may be a virus of some kind involved, could this be the case?

Thank you.

Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you.

Regards

Pete

Dreamweaver tip:

Testing a site

When developing a site, you have to cater to the widest possible audience allowing for users with different browsers and display settings.
Test pages to see how they look with:

- different display resolutions
- browser with graphics turned off
- many different browsers not just IE
- if possible different operating systems.
