Hidden rows within Excel
I have received a spreadsheet from a colleague but unfortunately they seem to have hidden a number of rows.
I have tried highlighting the adjacent rows and right clicking, I have tried highlighting the whole worksheet and using the format cells option.
I'm at a loss as to what to do next.
Any thoughts?
RE: Hidden rows within Excel
Hi Daniel. You need to highlight all cells and then right click on the highlighted area and select unhide to reveal all cells. If that doesn't work there is something else going on. Have you tried selecting the whole spreadsheet, copying it to the clipboard and then pasting it into a new worksheet?

RE: Hidden rows within Excel
Hey there Anthony,
Many thanks for the swift response.
I'd already tried both of those ideas but to no avail. I was wondering whether there were any insider tips that aren't so obvious?
Do you think there is an issue with my viewing rights?

RE: Hidden rows within Excel
Hi Dan. Have you tried going to Tools - Protection and seeing whether there is any custom protection on the worksheet? Rows and columns can be made uneditable this way and your source might have applied this to the worksheet.
It's also a possibility that row height or column width might be set to 0 for your "hidden" data. Trying selecting all and then formatting row height and column width through the menu drop downs.
Let me know how you get on.
