What's the document map used for?

RE: Document map

Dear Katherine

Thank you for attending Word Advanced course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.

When you have large documents with many pages then Document map helps you to navigate the document easily. But please bear in mind for the Document map to work efficiently you have to set your Styles (Heading 1, Heading 2, etc....) to your headings and sub headings!!

I hope this has answered your query.

If this has answered your query then I would request you to please mark the question as resolved!! If not and you have a specific question related to this then please post it as a new question and we should be able to provide you the solution for it!!

Kindest Regards

Word tip:

Change paragraph position quickly

Here are some handy shortcut keys for rearranging paragraphs in your document.

Simply click anywhere in the paragraph you wish to reposition; then hold down Shift + Alt then use the Arrow Up or Arrow Down key depending on which direction you want to move the paragraph in (up or down).

The paragraph will move up or down one paragraph at a time.
