Thank you for attending Upgrade to Office 2007 course!! I hope you enjoyed the course and benefited from it.
To animate text or the object (chart, SmartArt or table, etc...) you have to select the item first and then on the Ribbon choose Animations Tab. Click on the Custom animation button and you'll see the Custom Animation pane on the right hand side.
You choose various effects from the Entrance, Exit, Emphasis and the Motion Path categories.
