Microsoft Project 2007

Is it possible to show teams or specific skills in MS Project in order to show overload of work?

RE: Microsoft Project 2007

Hi Andrew

Thanks for your question. Teams are not directly suppored in MS Project. The Project Server solution allows you to create and store skill information when looking to assign resources.

You could use the spare fields (perhaps flag1 flag2 etc.) to indicate if a resource has certain skills. Filtering on flags and the group column would enable you to see those resources in a certain group (team) where the skill flags were set to yes.

I hope this helps - do let us know if you have any further questions.
Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:

Using the Quick Access Toolbar in Project 2010

The Quick Access Toolbar is included in virtually every Office product, including Project 2010 as well as Outlook 2010, Word 2010, Excel 2010, and PowerPoint 2010.

You will find the Quick Access Toolbar in the top-left side of the window. To begin, click the Customize button (it's the little black arrow at the end of the toolbar).

Simply click the commands you want to include.

Virtually any command can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar. Click the More Commands option and a new window will open from where you can browse the commands including those not on the ribbon.
