I was slightly unclear on the format of the gantt bar graph and how this relates to the critical path? Can you clarify?

RE: Project

Hi Edward,

Thank you for your question.

Do you mean the formatting of the Gantt bars on the Gantt chart? If so, you select a task and go to Format bar. Change the stlye and/or colour of the bar.

If you want to format all the bars, then go to Format Bar Styles and change the formatting.

If you want the text formatted, then choose either Font(change the font for selected tasks) or Format Text Styles (to choose a particular type of text to format such as the critical tasks).

When you change the view in Project to the Tracking Gantt view, you will see any tasks on the critical path in red, which means if they are delayed, then the project finish date will move. Alternatively, you could use the Gantt chart wizard to show you the critical path.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards

Simon
