Macro template

How can I create a macro to create a template?

RE: Macro template

Hi Andrew

From the Tools menu choose Macro > record new macro
In the dialogue box that opens you can give your macro a name. Click on OK.
Project will now record the actions you take so go to the File menu and choose new...
From the task pane choose the location of your template (eg On my computer) and double click the template of your choice.
A new project plan based on your template will be created.
Finally go to the Tools > Macros... menu and choose Stop recorder.

Now you can run the macro you have created by going to Tools > Macros > and selecting your macro from the list and clicking Run.

I hope this is helpful

Do let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,

Andrew

MS Project tip:

Formatting Bar Text

To display notes or resource initials on the Gantt chart bars, choose Format, Bar Styles and the Text tab. Select the position you want to show the text i.e. Top or Inside etc, then choose the field name you are looking for from the drop down arrow. Type the first letter of the name to get quickly to the top of the letter range. Click OK.
