Patch to enable outdent

Please provide the download path to the Microsoft patch to enable the outdent

RE: Patch to enable outdent

Hi James

thanks for your question. Take a look at the Microsoft Project 2003 support page. There you will find information about the latest hotfixes and related support information.

http://support.microsoft.com/ph/2525

I hope this helps - let us know if you need any further information.

Kind regards,

Andrew

RE: Patch to enable outdent

That page doesn't contain the patch.

RE: Patch to enable outdent

Hi James

Thanks for your reply. The page is the support area for Project 2003. All the information about fixes and workarounds can be found there.

Whilst we cannot provide IT support or specify which hotfix you should install we can direct you to the support area of the Microsoft website. You or your IT team will need to decide on which/if any hotfix is required for your installation of Project as some hotfixes change the functionality of the software which may not meet your requirements.

You can either search in the support search box for the problem you are experiencing or alternatively follow the Check for Updates link in the right hand navigation area to see a list of updates for your version of Project.

Kind regards,

Andrew

RE: Patch to enable outdent

I was advised by your trainer to post this question, and you would provide the link.

RE: Patch to enable outdent

Hi James

Thanks very much for letting me know. I will speak to my colleagues to make sure we are all offering the same advice on this one.

For example the following page describes a fix for the outdenting problem
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/834684/en-us

but there have been subsequent fixes that incorporate it along with other changes so it may not be the best answer to just install this one in isolation

Take a look at the Project 2003 update page for a comprehensive list of what's available to install

Kind regards,
Andrew

MS Project tip:

Link tasks using predecessor column - project

a. First, note ID number of the task you want to link to (predecessor). Then, in the predecessor column of the task you want to link to (successor), type the predecessor task's ID number.
b. The link will be a Finish to Start (the default type).
c. Or you can add in a code for a different relationship type
i. SS = Start to Start
ii. FF = Finish to Finish
iii. SF = Start to Finish
d. You don't have to type the task ID numbers in any specific order, but you must separate multiple tasks with commas.
