Merging Cells

How do you merge cells?

RE: Merging Cells

Hi Lisa, Thanks for your question, Merging Cells is fairly straightforward, although if you are trying to merge Rows and there is data in more than one row, Excel will only save the topmost entry. OK to merge cells, select the cells that you wish to merge and on the Formatting Toolbar look for a button with a lowercase a and arrows pointing outwards, click on this button and your selected cells will be merged into one.
Another method is select the cells you wish to Merge, go to the Format Menu and choose Cells, in the Format Cells dialog box, choose the Alignment Tab and within this tab you will see a selection box to Merge Cells. Good Luck.

Excel tip:

Viewing Many Worksheets

If there are more worksheets in your workbook than there is room to show all their tabs at the bottom of the screen - Right click on the navigation arrows. A list of all your worksheets is shown. You just click on the one that you want to access. If you have more than 15 worksheets, select in the list and choose your worksheet from hundreds.
