How do you create an image to view in dreamweaver with transparent background?

RE: Dreamweaver

Hello Joel,

Hope you enjoyed your Dreamweaver course with BEST Training.
Thank you for your question regarding transparent backgrounds.

The best way to do this is to have the GIF or PNG file setup in Photoshop to have a transparent background. Set the background layer to be transparent, and then have the image on the next layer.

Create a new document in photoshop and be sure you set the background to transparent. Then draw your shape. Then go to File --> Save for web and devices. This will bring up a save file dialogue. Be sure you set it to PNG-24 and check the transparency checkbox. This transparency will be supported on all modern browsers: opera, firefox, and IE7.

If PNG doesn't work, you can also choose GIF.

Just make sure all of your artwork is on a separate layer than the background layer (transparent).

I hope this resolves your question. If it has, please mark this question as resolved.

If you require further assistance, please reply to this post. Or perhaps you have another question?

Have a great day.
Regards,

Richard
