Query Results

I work in a College and have created a database that stores the various differnet resources each teacher has stored on the network. As such my colleagues can search for different types of resources using a custom made query that is accessed through an automatic form. When results are given, each record has a link which allows a colleague to go directly to the resources.

However I would like to be able to monitor how often resources come up in the results and alos how many times a link for a record is hit. this would enable me to identify which resources are not being returned and therefore see why, and which resources are being looked at by my colleagues.

Is this possible within access?

RE: Query Results

Hi Matthew

Thank you for your question and welcome to the forum.

This is something that we could possibly advise on in a consultancy capacity, it is beyond the scope of what we can answer within the forum because it is a question of a technical nature.

We can supply a quote for this if you contact our enquiries team: https://www.stl-training.co.uk/contact/index.php

regards

Best Team

Access tip:

Closing form after a certain time period

To make a form close automatically after a certain time period, you need to assign the close function to a macro.

Save the macro and ope up the form in design view. open the Properties sheet.

In the TimerInterval property enter the length of time you want the form open for. This should be in milliseconds, so for instance if you want the form open for 5 seconds enter 5000, for an minute enter 60000.

You now need to attach your macro (to execute the Close action) to the OnTimer event property of the form.
