How to best calculate working days in relation to calculating deadlines.

RE: Calculations

Dear Antony

Thank you for attending Excel Intermediate course. I hope you enjoyed the course and are finding the topics covered during the training useful.

I am hoping that you do understand that date calculations will be required.

If your query is specific to some scenario at work then please let me know.

It is quite straight forward to do a date calculation.

In one cell you enter a function called =Today() (this will ensure that the date will update everyday when the file is opened. It will take the date from your system so please ensure that your system date is curate).

On the other cell you enter may be the deadline date when you wish to complete a task

Do a simple subtraction formula between the two cells and you should get the results in days.

I hope this answers your query if you have further query then please hit the reply button and ask for further clarification!! If this has answered your question then may I please request you to mark this post as resolved!!

Many thanks

Kindest Regards

Excel tip:

Status Bar Functions

When using the SUM, MIN, MAX, AVERAGE and COUNT functions, the result of such calculations are displayed in the worksheet.

However, if a range of cells, containing numbers, is highlighted, and then a right-mouse click is performed at the bottom right side of the status bar, then the result of those functions will be displayed.
