would like to know how to bring data from one sheet across many as I do a board report every quarter and this would be very helpful with thw charts and graphs.

RE: excel advanced

Hi Chantel, I think I may have already answered this question in another post, but if not here is my response. If you wish to link data from one sheet to many others you should consider the single sheet as being your source. In the destination sheets, (can you group them) select the cell/cells that you wish the data to be displayed in and press the equals key (=), navigate to your source sheet and select the cell to be linked. Press Enter key and you will display the information in the destination sheet/s. This data will update as changes are made to the source data, now your destination cells can be used in your graphs. I hope that helps, best regards Pete

Excel tip:

Importing Numbers in Excel 2010

Occasionally, when importing data into Excel you find that the some of the imported values are treated as text.

To convert these numbers to actual values, click on an empty cell and press Ctrl+C.

Next, select the range that contains the values you need to change and in the Clipboard Group on the Home tab, click the Paste drop-down arrow and choose Paste Special. In the Paste Special dialog box, select Add and then click OK.
