Hi Sarah, Thank you for the post, Welcome to the forum, in answer to your question IME stands for Input Method Editor, the IME converts keystrokes into East Asian characters such as those in Chinese, Korean and Japanese languages. You could think of IME as a keyboard layout that enters East Asian text into a program. Access includes two IME related properties that can be applied to Text, Memo, Date-Time and Hyperlink fields. The first property IME Mode provides a number of options that determine how Access will behave when the focus is placed on a particular field. The second property is IME Sentance Mode which applies only to Japanese. To configure either property select the field in Design view, click the IME Mode or IME Sentance Mode property, and then select the appropriate options, I hope that answers your question, best regards Pete.
