Overallocated

what shoudl we do if the resource graph says we have overallocated? someone might be working in two task at the same time....

RE: overallocated

Hi Yamila

Thankyou for your question

The best approach would be to go to the resource usage sheet. Select the resource that is overallocated and move through the sheet until you find the overallocation. (If you open the resource levelling toolbar, there is a button on it which will moved you automatically to the next overallocation.)

You will then be able to see exactly how many hours are being worked on which tasks. You can then try any of the following

1. Swop resources so another resource takes on some of the load.
2. Delay a task with a levelling delay
3. Split a task
4. Extend the working hours or availability of the resource so that it can acciommodate the extra hours

Hope this helps

Regards

Stephen
