How do i put a scrap on a desk top?

RE: Word intermediate

Hi Lorna, Thank you for your post, To place a scrap (or part of a document) on the desktop you follow these steps; Select the text you wish to save as a scrap, Restore your Word window so that you can see the desktop below it, and simply drag and drop the selected text to the desktop, this will create a little icon named scrap, you can rename this icon in the normal way, then when you require it in a document at some time in the future, simply drag it to the position in your document. I hope that helps. best regards Pete
