If I want to consolidate several workbooks, do they all need to be saved in the same folder (including the 'consolidation' workbook?

Thanks for your question.
When you consolidate several workbooks, both source & consolidated files don't necessary have to be stored under the same folder.
You can also print out the worksheet in formula view to see each file path.
