Find/Match/Copy

I would like to search for a cell value for example A3 (J.Parm), match the cells next to his name, b3,c3,d3, then copy the results to another workbook.

RE: Find/Match/Copy

Dear Johnathan

Thank you for attending our Excel Inter and Adv. Training!!

The best feature I can think to resolve this will be VLOOKUP!!

Remember that the result of the VLOOKUP can be extracted from one sheet to another. This will save you time from copying it and pasting it to another sheet.

I think we sat after the training on Thursday and you showed me the file on the USB stick and we have resolved this problem.

If you have any further problem then please do post it on the forum!

It was a shame not having you in the Excel Advanced training as you were sick!! I hope you are feeling better now! :)

Kindest Regards

Excel tip:

Brighten up your Excel 2010 Spreadsheet by changing the colours of the gridlines

Excel 2010 allows you to change the colour of grid lines instead of keeping them in boring black.

Select the File tab on the Ribbon, click Options, click Advanced, scroll down to ''Display options for this worksheet.'' Next to ''Gridline colour,'' choose your favourite colour, then once you've done this, click OK. Easy!
