Queries

I often am asked in my job to provide an answer or single figure to a collegue from quite a large database that i maintain. I rarely am sure which is the best method to go about doing this. In Access how can you best choose which type of query to create for a certain requirement?

RE: Queries

Hi oliver

Thank you for your question

Do you need to provide a single figure that is the sum, or average etc. of the data in a field?

If so is this data often filtered according to certain criteria?

Regards

Stephen

Access tip:

Space marks

It is good practice not i to have space marks for field names as this can lead to problems when using queries or VBA code. It is much better to use an underscore charcter to represent spaces in field names
