RE: How to use macros in word

Hi Kirsty

Thanks for your question.

The point of using macros in any program (including Word) is to speed up the performance of repetitive tasks that involve taking a series of steps to complete.

To record a macro, go to Tools - Macro - Record New Macro. Once you have set up the initial information for the macro, you can then go through the steps you need to take to perform the task; then stop recording the macro.

To run the macro, go to Tools - Macro - Macros and choose Run.

I hope this helps.
Amanda

Word tip:

Moving Tabs where you want

This is a Word only tip.

When you are moving tabs using the ruler the pain is that they jump, but if you use the ALT key and then click on the tab it will allow you to move it anywhere you want.

The best bit about this shortcut is that when you press the ALT key the ruler changes and show's you actual tab margin sizes.
